Download Morrow. Bring your courses into your AI assistant.

Morrow connects your assistant to Canvas or Moodle. Install it once, connect a course, then ask for course work in your assistant’s own chat window. Morrow is free and open source; your assistant’s account, subscription, or usage charges still apply. Read the student privacy details.

You need Chrome, a supported assistant installed on this computer, and your Canvas or Moodle sign-in. Check the supported apps below.

Install on a Mac or Windows computer.

Before You Download

Have your assistant and course account ready.

Use the ChatGPT desktop app with local MCP support or Claude Desktop, installed and signed in on this computer. Codex CLI is an alternative for people who work in a terminal. Claude Code and Gemini CLI are advanced options that use a project folder. This local setup does not connect ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini browser or phone chats.

For Canvas or Moodle

Use Google Chrome and your existing school account. You need access to the course you want to work on. Setup adds Morrow Bridge to Chrome using Developer mode and Load unpacked, then asks you to allow access to your exact course site. Managed computers may need your IT team to allow the app and extension.

What you are installing

Morrow is the connection and setup app. Morrow Bridge is its Chrome extension. Your AI assistant is where you ask questions, review results, and request changes. If you use Muse, follow the separate Morrow Bridge for Muse setup.

Open your download.

Mac

  1. Open the Morrow download.
  2. Drag Morrow into Applications.
  3. Open Morrow from Applications.
  4. The first time, confirm Morrow in System Settings under Privacy & Security, then setup starts.

Windows

  1. Open the Morrow download.
  2. Morrow installs for your account and opens automatically.
  3. If needed, open Morrow from the Start menu to start setup.

Student Privacy

Protect student identity before course information reaches your assistant.

Morrow uses the course roster to replace known student names and IDs in supported records with labels such as Student A1 before they reach your assistant.

Read the Student Privacy Limits
  • Michaela AdamsbecomesStudent A1
  • Adams, MichaelabecomesStudent A1
  • madams@example.edubecomesStudent A1
  • ID 20410087becomesStudent A1
Known identifiers for one student become one course label.
Not sure which download to choose?

Not sure whether your Mac works? Open the Apple menu and select About This Mac. If the line named Chip begins with Apple M, and the window shows macOS 13 (Ventura) or later, you can use Morrow. Every Mac with an Apple M chip can update to macOS 13, so if the window shows an earlier version, update macOS first. Morrow does not run on older Intel Macs.

Not sure whether your Windows computer works? Open Settings, then System, then About. Under Device specifications, check that System type says x64. Morrow runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11 on x64. If Windows says Morrow cannot run on your computer, contact support.

Using a phone, tablet, or another operating system? Open this page on your Mac or Windows computer to install Morrow.

After the Download

Morrow shows one next action at a time.

Open the app and choose the assistant you use: the ChatGPT desktop app, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Gemini CLI. Morrow then helps you add Morrow Bridge to Chrome and connect the bridge to the app.

Your Learning Account

Pair your learning account once.

Sign in to Canvas or Moodle in Chrome and open any course to identify your account. Open Morrow Bridge and select Pair Canvas account or Pair Moodle account. Allow access to the exact site Chrome shows. You pair each account once.

Choose Selected courses to limit Morrow to courses you allow. Choose Account access to work across your account without selecting each course in Bridge. Give your assistant course names, course IDs, or course links. Both modes start new courses in Plan. Edit permission stays separate.

Need help? Open Morrow Support. Do not send student records, passwords, or sign-in details by email.

After Setup

Open your assistant. Ask about one course.

When Morrow has checked the course connection, follow its instructions to quit and reopen your chosen assistant. Start a new chat there. Replace the course name below with your own. See where to find Morrow in your assistant.

Use Morrow to list the modules in [course name] and summarize what each covers. Tell me anything you could not read. Do not change the course.

Start with a useful read

Your assistant uses Morrow to read the course and answers in that chat. Check that it names the right course and reports any missing information. New courses start in Plan; changes require separate Edit permission and review.

Come back to the same assistant

For your next task, open your assistant again and name the course. Keep a signed-in Canvas or Moodle tab open in Chrome. Return to Morrow or Morrow Bridge when you need to check a connection, reconnect a signed-out account, or manage access. If setup was interrupted, reopen Morrow and follow the next action it shows.

What we have tested.

Morrow works with Canvas and Moodle on Mac and Windows. We have checked selected Canvas tasks on live test courses, and part of the Moodle catalog on a Moodle test course. Live checks for every assistant are still underway.
